I've been on vacation.
And that's why I've combined the 6th and 7th installments of
My Week in Pictures.
So, what have I been up to over the last two weeks?
Lots.
Lots of stuff.
My husband took me to see Fast and the Furious 6.
It was SO good.
I'm a huge fan of Vin Diesel.
And he did not disappoint.
The following day we went to Google Day!
We have a large Google plant near us.
And they gave Main Street businesses free internet.
So, naturally, I had to take a free mouse pad :)
I drove to Ponca City with my husband to do a dealer trade for Ford.
It was a 2 1/2 hour drive each way.
And we had a blast singing along to the radio.
I arrived in Colorado on the 5th.
This is the view from my grandparents' house.
Isn't it awesome?!
These are my cousin's cute boys.
They are adorable.
And I love hanging out with them.
We went to the Rodeo.
I will post pictures of our adventure in a later post.
Grandma, Uncle Bob, Aunt Leo and I went to Estes Park.
Aunt Leo and I climbed up to the top of the tundra to see this view.
It was breathtaking.
Between the cold temperature, strong winds, and altitude,
I really thought I wasn't going to make it.
But I took one step at a time and eventually made it to the top.
It was totally worth the burn in my lungs.
We had some coffee at the information center.
This was our view.
Can you believe there was snow still melting in June?!
As we were leaving, a fire started on the other side of the park.
Lightning had struck the day before and was smoldering in one area.
The strong winds picked up and started a fire.
They will most likely let the fire burn throughout the summer so long as it does not threaten anyone.
It was started naturally and will help the forest rejuvenate itself.
There were several elk as we made our way to the exit.
I will update more pictures and information on our trip in a later post.
The last two weeks have been crazy and I look forward to sharing more of
my trip to Colorado with all of you.
Until next time,
Jessi
