The Elizabeth Rodeo

So, I went to the rodeo.
In Elizabeth, Colorado.
And it was a lot of fun.

I ate a bacon wrapped brat.
Listened to a live band.
I even got to tour the rodeo 'behind-the-scenes'.
That's when I realized, 'Hey, I kind of like this rodeo scene.'

Even these scary looking bulls.
The black one on the right charged at me after I snapped this pic.
I may have screamed a little and ran away.
Inside, I'm sure he was laughing.

The horses were much more docile.
Thank goodness!

My sweet little cousins (pictured roping here with Dad) were such good sports.
They spent like 6 hours straight at the rodeo and didn't complain once.
They're real troopers.

It has been so fun for me to watch my cousin (who used to be quite the strange little dude)
become such a good father to his boys.
When we were younger, I never could picture him being a 'family man'.
He liked to skate board, go to the lake, and give me a hard time.
But I really enjoyed watching him with his boys.
They're very lucky to have such a good father who totally adores them.
And vice versa.

I would just like to point out the only cowboy from Oklahoma at the rodeo
won in his event.
Whatever event that was.
I can't even remember.
There were so many!

I had a blast at the rodeo.
And I'm grateful I was able to share my first rodeo experience with my cousin and his sweet family.
