My Week in Pictures: The Fifth Installment

My week started on a good note.
The Budweiser Clydesdales came to our local Wal Mart.
And I decided that one day, I will own a Clydesdale.

Then my husband showed up in a Mini Coop.
We test drove it.
No, I will not be trading in my Lincoln for it.
I'm not a 'convertible' kind of gal.
I'm a 'sun-roof' one.
I prefer my hair to look somewhat decent when I exit the vehicle.

Saturday morning, I got up early.
I drank my coffee and watched the sun rise.
It was a very peaceful morning.

Niko spent his whole morning chilling in the grass.
I can't believe that we've had him for a year.
It felt like just yesterday when we brought him home.
Now, he's part of the family.
Shh! Don't tell the cat.
He doesn't like the dog.
And vice versa.

Saturday evening, my husband somehow convinced me to play Age of Empires with him.
I may have let my screen name go to my head a little.
He hasn't played with me since.
I can't imagine why ;)

Sunday was potluck at church.
Then we went over to my in-laws for a bonfire.
We roasted marshmallows.
I learned the importance of correctly 'sanitizing' a skewer in the fire.

Monday was Memorial Day.
With everything that's been going on in our lives lately, it was nice to have a day to
honor those who have fought for our country.
We went over to Uncle Paul's and Aunt Helen's.

Everything was so green.
We've had tons of rain.
Which is good for the vegetation.
But oh, it is so bad for my allergies.

Tuesday, I took Niko for a walk.
But as I was walking, the sunny sky immediately turned gray.
And then it poured.
It rained so hard, my shirt soaked through instantly.
I thought we might try and wait the rain out, but I ended up just running home.

Then I realized my phone was not in my pocket.
So I had to run back through the rain.
Up the street a little ways, I found my poor phone rain-soaked.
And it's been working funny ever since.

Niko's Canine Good Citzen certificate came in the mail.
I have to frame it.
Kelly and Niko worked so hard to get it.

My mom and I had lunch with Cousin Clemmy on Wednesday at the Amish Cheese House.
A Fed Ex trailer detached from a semi.
It blocked traffic and we watched from the second story as they fixed it.
It was quite entertaining.

Niko decided to be "King of the Backyard' for the afternoon.
He really enjoys standing on that table.

We found Kitty (our neighbor's cat) sitting in my car.
It was pretty funny.

My mother-in-law got a Nutri Bullet.
So, naturally, we all sat around trying it out on Wednesday after church.
You fill it with fruit, veggies and/or nuts.
Top it off with water.
Then watch it liquefy everything.
It was delish!

Well, my week has come and gone.
As always, it's fun sharing My Week in Pictures with you.
