My life is an open book for all to read.
I don't have dark, hidden secrets.
I don't even have a dark, hidden past.
I enjoy talking about my experiences and sharing what I've learned
with anyone who is interested in listening.
Even though I am an open book, I believe there are some things people don't know about me.
For instance, I'm an introvert.
In college, I had to take a test to see whether I was an introvert or an extrovert.
It was close, but it turns out I am an introvert.
Being around large groups of people is hard for me.
I always feel emotionally exhausted afterwards.
And sometimes, a little cranky.
I prefer the quiet solitude of my house to the restless world outside of it.
I prefer to stay home and read a good book instead of going out.
And as I've gotten older, it has become clear that my house is my favorite place to be.

I own a cat.
I talk about my dog all the time, but I also have a seven year-old cat.
His name is Oliver.
And really likes to drool.
He sort of reminds me of an old man.
He's cranky, huffs a lot and is really lazy.
I always read the last page of a book before I read the first page.
I have to make sure their is a good ending before I devote an entire day to reading it.
I also love books with sad endings.
If it's a sad, tear-jerking ending, I am sold.
I am a little OCD before I go to bed at night.
I have to make sure all the doors are locked at least twice before getting into bed.
I also have to floss and brush my teeth no matter how late it is.
And I always check to make sure my alarm is set for 6:30.
It's just my ritual.
I love being a wife.
Some people seem annoyed that I don't have a "real" full-time job.
But my "real" full-time job is to be a good wife--a good helper--to my husband.
Hey, it's biblical.
If you don't believe me, research it.
A good place to start is with this book, Created to Be His Helpmeet by Debi Pearl, which is highly recommended by both my pastor's wife and me.
I do have several jobs that pay me actual money.
I also make money every day.
And I make sure to get up early every morning to do my work before my husband gets up.
When he's up, my "real" job truly begins.
I enjoy ironing his clothes, packing his lunch, running errands, cleaning our house,
and, of course, taking are of our dog.
If you knew me when I was younger, it would probably be hard for you
to imagine the stubborn, selfish girl I was as a good wife.
But I seem to thrive in my "wife" environment.
I was, after all, made for this job :)
My life really is an open book for all to read.
I love sharing all aspects of it.
Even the parts that I don't normally share with people.
