Niko Goes to Natural Falls!

Well, I learned two very important lessons this weekend. 

1. Niko will never be going on a road trip.

He whined the entire hour drive to Natural Falls State Park.

And then he whined the entire way home.

2. My dog is a drama queen.

And yes, he got that from me.

This is where he spends most of his time in the car. 

Natural Falls State Park in Colcord, OK was absolutely beautiful.

Niko enjoyed watching the fish swim around in the pond as we headed toward the falls.

Niko led the way.

We took many pictures.

And left with lots of great memories.

As we were walking here, a little girl and her dad were walking behind us.

I smiled when she said, "Dad, this is the best day ever!"

It was bright green everywhere we looked.

We really chose a good day to go. 

84 degrees.

Cloudy.

And bright green.

We had to climb down a hillside to get to the falls.

Niko literally sniffed every thing in sight.

The falls were breathtaking.

The temperature dropped about 10 degrees when we reached the bottom.

We passed lots of kiddos on the way who begged to pet Niko.

He loves little kids so it was all good.

Absolutely gorgeous.

Niko dived into the water as soon as he got close enough.

He wasn't allowed to swim here, though.

They were pumping water.

The park has a Disc Golf course.

There were tons of people playing!

We really enjoyed our time at Natural Falls State Park.

We're looking forward to going back soon.

Especially Niko.

He had a blast!
