My Week in Pictures

I've been noticeably absent the last week.
I sat down at my computer last Friday morning to do My Week in Pictures.
Then, my phone rang.
I had to drive to Tulsa to drop off a car and then run errands with my husband.
When I finally returned home, my pastor's sweet wife called and asked if I would watch 4 of their 8 kids while they drove 2 1/2 miles north to visit her ailing grandmother.
Sunday, we had potluck at church and I spent the day caring for my sick hubby.
On Monday, I was sick as a dog and spent the next two days in bed.
Life has a way of getting busy real fast.
So, here is my last two weeks in pictures.

Zailey is my little shadow.
She follows me wherever I go.
She sits herself near my chair, by the stove when I'm cooking, at the foot of the bed while I'm sleeping.
Niko is my first child and I love him to death, but he doesn't seem to like me nearly as much as sweet little Zailey does.
It only took her a month to earn her 'favorite child' title from me.

While watching the four kiddos this past weekend, we ended our night at the pond.
The kids played on the playground and I watched as the sun sank behind the treeline.

The kids wore the dogs out.
Zailey and Niko spent a 24-hour period watching the kids run around the house.
Zailey seemed to enjoy it while Niko spent most of the time follow the kids around and 'talking' to them.
If they yelled, he would run over to me and begin talking.
If they were too quiet, he would stand beside them and look confused.
It was nice to see he was always concerned about the kids.

There was a gorgeous pink sunset last week.
Thankfully, I had my camera to capture it.

While the kiddos were at our house, I ended up taking a nap with little miss Ashlyn.
She was so cuddly and warm.

DayQuil and NyQuil have been my best friends since Monday.
I only get sick about once a year so I when I got sick this week, I knew I was going to end up in bed for a few days.
Happens every year.
My body was exhausted, but I was also mentally exhausted as well.
I didn't love being stuck in bed for two days, but I was grateful for a reason to catch up on some much needed sleep.
