It's been a whirlwind week.
And it's only Wednesday!
We have definitely had our fair share of testings in the last 4 days.
My husband's new glasses ended up costing way more than we originally thought they were going to.
Which isn't a huge deal.
He has to have them.
The big deal is the fact that we had to pay 3x what we wanted to.
But God is good and we had the money.
Then my husband ended up in Urgent Care two days later because he had an allergic reaction (cause unknown) as we were driving an hour away to get those same glasses readjusted.
Imagine trying to navigate a large city (cluttered with construction cones and road work) while your mobile internet is refusing to locate the closest Urgent Care and your husband, who's sitting beside you, is scratching his hives and saying, "I'm really red" over and over again.
To put it mildly, I was a little on edge.
And then I did the only thing I could.
I prayed.
Sure, the prayer was all over the place.
But God answered just like he always does.
And what I heard made me smile.
"Hey, it's all just temporary."
"Hey, it's all just temporary."
I think that God used these (somewhat traumatic) events to remind me that this life and all of its cares are only temporary.
This moment isn't going to last forever.
This life will one day pass away.
Focus on what's important.
Forget what's going on right in front of you and lift your eyes to Heaven.
Perspective.
It's my new favorite word.
It's my new favorite word.
Heaven is my perspective.
What's yours?
